Refunds and Returns

Overview

My refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from date of purchase (for Pre-Orders see below). If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, I can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

For Pre-Order orders our refunds and returns policy will run for 30 days from release date.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Goods exempt from being returned:

  • Downloadable software products including Code in Box products

To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not return your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.

Refunds will only be processed for the cost of the item only any additional postage showing separately in your invoice (e.g. upgraded postage or special delivery postage on consoles) will not be refunded as you would have received this service.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Sale items will be refunded at the cost of purchase.

Exchanges

I only replace items if they are defective (within 30 days of completing the order) or damaged in transit (Discs coming loose in the case during postage is not covered by my damaged in transit policy). I require photographic evidence of the damaged item within 24 hours of receipt including damage to the outer packaging whether that is a Jiffy envelope or a cardboard box. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send me an email at [email protected] and send your item to: Maponus Gaming, 6 The Triangle, Mountain Ash, RCT, CF45 4BA. All items returned as defective will be checked and tested and if no problem is found no refund will be issued and I will hold your item for a period of 2 months in which time you can pay for my postage cost for the item to be returned to me and the postage cost for the item to be returned to you.

An item is only considered defective if the information on the disc / cartridge no longer works as it should and the disc / cartridge is physically undamaged. Defective items do not include additional downloads issued by the developer that contain ‘bugs’ as these are often repaired by the developer in a quick time frame with a ‘patch’

Code in box items are not eligible for exchange once they have been opened.

Shipping returns

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable for exchange items.

We will cover the shipping costs if the return is for a item that is defective or damaged in transit.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. I don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
